Self portraits

For lack of a convenient mirror, I'm using the webcam for these and I
quite like the process -- a more 'objective' method for observing
one's face?

Martin Kippenberger as a cowboy on the cover of Art Forum

Hello everybody,

a couple of points:

* I've discovered e-mail as a method of posting to the blog, which I
find more convenient. You have to activate the option in your profile,
and then you just compose an email as though it were a blog post and
send it off to the blogger address (which you also specify in your
profile). Or maybe you knew this already.

* Welcome to our blog Lorcan White and thanks for sharing. I'm writing
this in English for the benefit of the other participants (Marga).
Your energetic drawings make me want to drop everything and run to the
drawing table

* My scanner is broken so I'm using digital pictures doctored in
iPhoto (very quick), but they are o.k. I think, how about you?

* I'm starting a portrait project called The Paper Face. It's going
too slowly for my taste but I shall post my progress as I work. You
can have a look on http://the-paper-face.blogspot.com/

Pitt Artist pen experiments

Thanks to Heleen, I discovered Faber Castell's "Pitt Artist pen' and I am completely hooked. This pen was made for me. So here are some of my experiments. I also discovered a website where you can convert your handwriting into a font. (www.yourfonts.com). Very handy, esp for comics.

more cows... :-)

While drawing the cows, a horse came and after smelling my drawing decided to eat it. Should I asume I'm such a great draftswomam as to cheat a carnivorous horse? Or was he trying to tell me that my cows looked like carrots? ;-)
