I think it was Paul Valery who wrote that the sea shore is this line where you can find what the sea doesn't want and what the earth doesn't dare to accept.(I don't know if dare is the right word, and I can't find the quote in french, sorry)

Ñandutí

(Guaraní Indian: “spider web”), type of lace introduced into Paraguay by the Spaniards. It is generally characterized by a spoke-like structure of foundation threads upon which many basic patterns are embroidered. This structure, resembling a spider web or the rays of the Sun, is usually made on a small circular cushion.
Of course I had in mind the drawings of the selvedge magazine you gave me.
