Im glad to have a place to share! A few of these are old and I'm sure you remeber them? I bound a visual diary recently but the paper I chose to put into it isn't so great so I'm a bit reluctant to draw in it... so everythings all over the place :)

Of course, I remember them and it's very exciting to see more of them. You inspire me to try embroidery too. They are all really nice, but I think the most effective ones are where you draw quite 'realistically'(faces etc) without any decorative elements, as this is such a surprising contrast to the way embroidery and sewing are usually employed.

I saw this on a blog somewhere and thought of you and these needle drawings: http://citified.blogspot.com/2008/06/everyday-objects-as-art.html

Yes that looks great - had to look twice, thought it was just a plain picture of a till slip! Thank-you!
What do you think about bringing in colour though? Maybe I should try a diferent way of bringing in the colour... The stitching have gone quite "children-like"! I like them too - but I was thinking of doing specific portraits of people too - instead of drawing them in ink.. hmmm will see.
