I'm not that happy about the way they turned out... But I have discovered something that I'd like to keep on drawing. When I go around in the mountains, I find lots of nice refreshing fountains that I would like to draw. I'm just wondering, how, cause I don't want it to be picturesque... I'll show you when something watery starts coming out of my sketchbook.

I like the bottom and top one a lot. Our teacher told us to look at the ways Leonardo and Hergé draw water. You could add Hockney too I guess. How about drawing just the water without the fountain itself. That would be more abstract but also less picturesque. I saw an exhibition of drawings this afternoon that was all about waterfalls. I would add to the list of nice waterdrawers japanese woodcuts. I hadn't think of Leonardo, but it's true that his series of deluges (and studies of water movement) is wonderful. I'll have a look at it. And thanks for Marjolein, oil stick? I like the sculptures she's making with the drawings, are they nice real-life?
