Huesos

Cherry, olive, nectarine, apricot, medlar (nispel in dutch?).

I need a new notebook, this one has a very strange paper that absorbs ink and watercolor. It gets completely soaked on it making it really difficult to work with and taking all the color away.

The second try on a nicer paper was much better:


And then I got a bit obsessed with the nectarine one and made tons of drawings last evening, here's a selection:



(we call huesos the bones of the body and the big pits of the fruits, not watermelon's)

I like both the bad and the good watercolours; the good one is more'arty'. The nectarine pips are acrylic? gouache? Very nice. Each one a page in your book? I am surprised.

Are you going to draw your own bones?

they started being charcoal and gesso, but they ended up being gesso and acrylic.
And yess, I'm working bigger now :-)
